Life Changing Event
An event that has impacted my life was my baptism. I was baptized in late September of the year 1994. This was about a month after my birth. Because of my baptism, I am now the Christian that I am now. Also, because of baptism, I have been able to receive the sacraments of reconciliation, Holy Communion, or First Communion, and I have been Confirmed as a Catholic. I go to Church every Saturday or Sunday. I find that being a Catholic brings me closer to God and it helps me define who I am. I even go to a Catholic high school. If I had not been baptized, I would not be the person I am today.

Leprechauns
Leprechauns are just fairies in folklore myth. They usually appear as old men and are clad in a red or green coat. Leprechauns always like to partake in mischief. Leprechaun can be derived either to mean pygmy or shoemaker, depending on what word you take it from.
Leprechauns always appear to be greedy. They always have a lot of gold stashed away somewhere. They view humans as being greedy and wanting their gold. They try to bribe humans with fake coins to let them go, and they can disappear if you take your eyes off of the leprechaun. They keep all of their gold in a pot, marked by a rainbow. If you catch a leprechaun, it will lead you to its gold.
"Irish"
St. Patrick's Day is celebrated by the Irish and Irish at Heart in big cities and small towns alike with parades, "wearing of the green," music and songs, Irish food and drink, and activities for kids such as crafts, coloring and games. Its a time for fun. Some communities even go so far as to dye rivers or streams green! In Chicago, the people there dye the Illinois River completely green in downtown Chicago. Although I think that is pretty extreme, it shows the pride of the Irish. It is always celebrated in the United States on the seventeenth of March.

My "Bucket" List
There a lot of things that I would like to do during my lifetime. One of those things is to travel to Australia. I have always been fascinated when I hear stories from there and I think it would be fun to visit there. Also, I want to start a band sometime. I think that it would be a fun experience. Another thing that I would like to do is to drive on the Autobahn in Germany. I would also like to go sky diving. I think that would be one of the most "alive" experiences I would ever have. I would also like to go on a road trip and drive across the United States and go sight seeing on the way. I would go to every state, except for Hawaii because it is impossible to drive there from the main land. These are just some of the many things that are on my "Bucket List". What about you?

Winter Olympics-2010
I have not been watching the winter Olympics as much as I would like, but I have watched some of it. My favorite event has been the Ski cross event. I like how there were four Olympian contestants on the same course at the same time. I also liked the luge and speed skating. I think that the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver was fairly good, although there were some complications. Also,it was sad that the Georgian Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili died in a training run. I think that the people in charge of creating the courses should have prepared more and should have tested the track more.
Lent
I think that if God gave humans a progress report for Christians instead of our conscience that he has given us, the world would probably be surprised. I think that if He did do that, it might take away purgatory because the people who received a bad progress report would obviously know that they were doing something wrong, as well as the people who received a good progress report would know that they were doing everything correctly and according to God's plan and will. God might grade us on our actions towards our friends, family, and even people we don't know, as well as towards ourselves.

Personally, I am not really a big fan of Valentine's Day. Officially, Valentine's Day is a National Holiday. The holiday is named after one or more early Christian martys named Valentine and was established by Pope Gelasius I in the year AD 496.It is also the feast day of Saints Cyril and Methodious. Valentine's Day is a day where loved one's send each other gifts, such as flowers, chocolates, or cards or anything else that shows that they love and care for each other. Modern Valentine's Day symbols include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid.
